About me
Alison's real estate experience includes selling houses, townhomes and condominiums throughout the greater Richmond area. Her focus has been in Downtown (area 10), the near West end (area 20), and Henrico County (Area 22), although she's also sold in Chesterfield, Goochland and Charles City counties. She has experience with investing, property management and has been involved with several historic rehabs and renovations of historic properties.
She earned a Masters in Architectural History and a certificate in Historic Preservation in 2006 from the University of Virginia’s School of Architecture. As a graduate student, she interned at the Virginia Historical Society and the Office of the Architect at UVA. Immediately after coming to Richmond in 2006, she spent four years working as a tour guide at the historic Maymont mansion.
Before coming to One South Realty, Alison worked in the non-profit affordable housing industry. She spent the first part of her career there helping first-time homebuyers purchase homes through organizations such as Better Housing Coalition and Community Housing Partners. In 2011, she became a certified Housing Counselor through Neighborworks and earned a MLO (Mortgage Loan Originator) license. This training allowed her to become familiar with the best loan products and downpayment assistance grants for buyers. In 2012, she was named one of the Top 40 under 40 in housing by the Virginia Housing Development Authority (VHDA).
